Being a year old is a big deal! You are only 1 once in your life so it needs to be memorable, that's why I love to do the cake smash session on the little ones when they turn a year old, plus it is just so much fun...Is this pure joy or what!

This strong little boy was amazing to work with even at 3 1/2 weeks old. It is always recommended to have a newborn session within the first 10 days of a newborn's life; nevertheless it is still possible to do this kind of photography at this stage as well. It just takes a little bit more time and patience! When newborns are weeks older they are more alert and less flexible to get into those curled sleepy poses. At the beginning he was pretty alert but after a little while he went to sleep and pretty much slept throughout the session!

I woke up today and felt like this...strong and ready for anything coming my way. And yes it is Friday, but besides feeling TGIF I feel about a lot of good things coming our way!  Not to long ago after eating some delicious PF Changs on my last trip to Orlando I got this really uplifting message from my fortune cookie... "Do not give up; the beginning is always the hardest". I really like getting fortune like that! More of this little guy coming soon...!

Im so excited to say that I decided to enter the Professional Photographer Magazine cover contest! I decided to enter this one because it has always been one of my favorites and it is also the one that describes my style the most. I remember the day I took this...It was at my Miami home studio and I came up with the idea the night before the session and out of all the set ups I had planned for the client this was the one that I just couldn't wait to try! When I finally did, this beautiful baby decided to give me a smile and this was the result, it could not have been more perfect! Yes, this handsome little guy stopped by my studio with his lovely parents a few weeks ago and allowed me to take these amazing images of him! I remember when I took the newborn photography workshop with Kelley Ryden and Tracy Raver they mentioned how easier it is to photograph newborn boys vs. girls since boys tend to be a bit more relaxed and tend to sleep a little more during sessions, and so far it has been true! I mean just look, not a worry in the world!
